Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
Uninsured America is committed to being usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We build aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA and use the APCA perceptual contrast method as an additional check. We do not claim formal certification.
What we do
- Design and test our color choices against AA contrast targets.
- Provide a visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Offer keyboard, button, and screen-reader alternatives to any drag, hover, or resize action.
- Respect reduced-motion preferences.
- Use semantic landmarks, headings, labels, and skip links.
- Support light, dark, and high-contrast (antique) themes.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never “done.” We are not yet formally certified to WCAG 2.2 AA. Known gap right now: our trailer video’s spoken narration is not fully captioned yet - we are working on it. We test with manual checks, fix issues as we find them, and welcome an automated audit pass as one more input, not a substitute for a person telling us something isn’t working.
