Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Uninsured America is built privacy-first. We collect as little as possible and we never ask for health records or documents.
Information we collect
- Browsing the site & podcast: the public site publishes episodes and general information. It runs no eligibility check, triage, or health-program tool, so there is nothing of that kind for you to submit.
- Contact form: if you contact us, your message and any topic checkboxes you select are not stored in our database. We store only that you contacted us - your name, email, and the time - so we can follow up. We do not ask for your ZIP code.
- Donations: payments are processed by Stripe. We record the gift amount and date in a tamper-evident, append-only ledger that contains no contact information. Any donor email is kept in a separate, erasable record. We never see or store full card numbers.
What we never collect
We do not knowingly collect protected health information (PHI), medical records, diagnoses, or health documents, and we do not collect ZIP code, age, income, household size, or coverage status through any channel. Our contact form asks you not to include health details, medical records, or ID numbers, and automatically rejects messages that appear to contain them. Your message is not stored in our database, so please still avoid including anything sensitive - electronic messages are not encrypted end to end.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages.
- To process and acknowledge donations.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used - without identifying you.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (for example, Stripe for payments and our email provider), and only as needed.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete the contact information you’ve shared by emailing help@uninsuredamerica.org.
